Abstract

A blueprint that contains all the technical specifications and design details that make my product unique. Specifically outlining the explicit purpose, concept, and design challenge (technical process) with developers, designers, and manufacturers.

Inspiration

3D printed fabric has inspired my shoe design due to its lightweight, durable material. The construction provides maximum breathability by allowing airflow to help keep the feet from sweating and becoming wet. Moreover, it will conform to the foot to maximize comfortability by providing support to decrease the likelihood of injury. The architecture of the building inspires a seamless construction process to minimize waste and reduce the environmental impact of production.

Silhouette Concept

The concept behind my athletic shoe is both functional and comfortable. This shoe can be worn for high-intensity gymnastics, dance, tennis, and running. As well as low-intensity exercising such as jogging, running errands, and working out at the gym. The purpose of my athletic shoe is to provide the benefits of shock-absorbing impact throughout the foot for heel support and arch support. It is constructed of 100% recycled polyester yarn using advanced technology and sustainable methods. This material has a breathable functionality that allows moisture to escape to avoid sweating. The durability of my shoe is important because it is high quality and perfect for outdoor activities.

  • Point of Measure

    This chart describes my garment through specific measurements for each point of measure with codes. I included the tolerance range which is an acceptable variation from the specified measurement.

  • Bill of Materials

    This is a chart used to display the materials for hems, seams, and stitches to help the manufacturer put the garments together to meet the quality standards.

  • Construction

    Includes sewing, knitting, embroidery, and crocheting, by hand or machine. I identified a series of repetitive single turns, loops of threads, and yarns through interloping and interlacing.
